We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

OUR PASTOR

Pastor Nathan M. Munford IV is a passionate preacher, leader, and bridge-builder between generations in the 21st-century church. Known for his prophetic, inspirational, and deliverance-style preaching, he has served Mount Calvary Holy Church of Winston-Salem (MCHCWS) for over 13 years, currently as Senior Pastor.

A Richmond, VA native, Pastor Munford holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Winston-Salem State University (Cum Laude) and an MBA from American Intercontinental University. He also works as a Finance Manager in corporate America, bringing together marketplace and ministry to serve with excellence.

Pastor Munford began preaching as a teen at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church and was a spiritual leader on his college campus. Licensed in 2011 and ordained in 2014, he was appointed Senior Pastor in 2022. Over the years, he has faithfully served MCHCWS in roles such as Youth Pastor, Discipleship Director, and Assistant Pastor.

In addition to his local ministry, Pastor Munford serves as the

International Youth and Young Adult Director

for the Mount Calvary Holy Church of America (MCHCA). He is also the Director of Ministerial Education for the NC Piedmont Jurisdiction, where he trains and equips new clergy.

Above all, Pastor Munford treasures his family—his wife Adero, and their three children: Nathan V, Nia, and Nadia. He lives by the words,

“On Christ, the Solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand,”

seeking daily to glorify God through humility and service.

OUR BELIEFS

We at Mt. Calvary Holy Church Believe in one God

That He only is God (Exodus 6:3; Isaiah 45:5-6; John 17:3)
That He is eternal (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14, 32:40; Psalm 90:21, 102:27; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 1:8, 4:24)
That He is infinite in wisdom (Job 11:7-10; Psalm 145:3)
That He is maker of Heaven and Earth (Genesis 1; John 1:3);
That as God He is triune, being revealed as Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 26:19; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 5:7).

We believe the Father is the first person of the Godhead

His revelation comes in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ whom He makes known (Matthew 16:17).
He is the Father of Jesus and the Father of humanity, our Father (Matthew 6:9).
He is the One who loved the world so, He gave His only Son (John 3:16). He was unknown to us (John 14:6) and becomes known to us through Jesus Christ (John 14:7).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God

The revelation and manifestation of the Word made flesh, co-equal and co-existent, with the Father, and the Holy Ghost.
We further believe that in the fullness of time He was manifested in the flesh, and incarnated by the power of the Holy Ghost (Luke 1:34-35), in the womb of the Virgin Mary (John 1:1-4). In John 20:31, “these things are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God; and that believing, ye might have life through His name.”

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Triune Godhead.

That the Holy Spirit is ever present and active in the church; convicting (John 14:16m 16:18) and regenerating those who believe in Jesus Christ; dwelling in, sanctifying and comforting believers (John 14:16-17, 17:17); and guiding them into all truths as in Christ Jesus (John 16:13).
